Soft Tissue Therapies

Why the Emphasis on the Soft Tissues?

At Prairie Ridge Chiropractic and Rehab, we utilize a variety of soft tissue therapies in addition to the Chiropractic adjustment. What we refer to as 'soft tissues' is any of the muscles, ligaments, tendons, fascia, etc. that help hold the body together.  We use a combination of passive and active stretching, hands on muscle work, and instrument assisted percussion to reduce pressure on injured structures. The reason why  we place an emphasis on the soft tissues is explained here.  The other reason we place an emphasis on soft tissue, is because we show you how good you can feel even before the Chiropractic adjustment, as well as explain and demonstrate things you can do at home/work without relying on us for symptom relief.
